My account was gone (deleted?)

Hi,

I just tried to log in, but could not do so. As I tried to recover my
password (as I thought I forgot it) the login system told me that a user
by my username (tty23) is not known. So I just re-registered with my old
username and email. Now it works again.

Any ideas what might have caused this?

Hello Johannes,

Sorry for the delayed response (vacation time in Germany).
Your story with account sounds quite strange to me, however I could imagine why could this happen. We have two "user databases" one for SOPERA web site and one for SOPERA Forum. These two databases should be automatically kept in sync, however sometimes conflicts appear which however shouldn't delete anything... however here I'm not sure anymore.

Do you have something missing from your old account that we could restore with the new one?
